Week of Czech Culture is to be held for the fourth consecutive year at the State Cultural Institute the Palace in the coastal town of Balchik. The event will begin on July 6 at the Tunnel gallery with exhibition of glass sculptures. The exposition is the result of a series of plein airs of the High-School of Glass Making, Applied Arts and Industrial Design in the Czech town of Valašské Meziříčí. All exquisite works are created by pupils and their teachers who found inspiration among the sights of the architectural and park complex Balchik Palace. The exhibition is open for visitors until July 12 when the Week of Czech Culture will be closed with a concert. The concert will be held in the Stone Hall and the audience will enjoy pieces by Mozart, Saint-Saëns, Gabriel Fauré and other renowned composers to the rendition of the family trio: Jiří Pivovarčík -clarinet, member of Ensemble Flair in Ostrava, Markéta Pivovarčíková -flute and fifteen-year-old Barbora Pivovarčíková -piano, who studies at a high school in Valašské Meziříčí. Bulgarian pianist Bilyana Eneva will join the Czech trio. Admission is free of charge.
