High-tech NMR at Sofia hospital will diagnose diseases without harmful radiation

A nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer of the latest class is now functioning at the St. Ivan of Rila university general hospital.

It will allow for rapid and adequate diagnostication without harmful radiation, and will be used for tests of the nervous system. The device includes all childhood diseases programmes, including pre-natal diseases, said Minister of Health Kiril Ananiev, adding that there are only 9 other such devices in Europe.
