Supreme Judicial Council criticizes President and Premier in a declaration

The Prosecutor’s College of Bulgaria’s Supreme Judicial Council defended in a declaration the independence of the Prosecutor’s Office. The declaration comes in response to last week’s comments of President Rumen Radev and Premier Boyko Borissov in connection with the influence peddling investigation. “We will not allow the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Bulgaria to be involved in institutional scandals, political opposition and clashes between state officials, political parties represented at the National Assembly and other political parties, formations and entities”, the declaration of the Prosecutor’s College of this country’s Supreme Judicial Council reads.
