The negotiations on the EU budget for the coming seven years and on the coronavirus recovery fund continue, the Bulgarian National TV, BNT, correspondent reports.

The significant differences between the “frugal four” – the Netherlands, Austria, Sweden and Denmark – and the other countries remain, even though Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte stated last night that he was not in confrontation with the other European leaders.

Before the start of the meeting in Brussels, Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov was met with a protest by Bulgarians demanding the resignation of the government and of the prosecutor general. PM Borissov told reporters that he supported all European leaders who stand for rule of law and for linking EU funds with compliance with the principles of the law-governed state.
