The Sofia City Prosecutor's Office has asked the Sofia City Court to cancel the registration of the nationalist Vazrazhdane political party. The request is the result of an inspection following a signal from the beginning of June for violations in the activities of the party led by Kostadin Kostadinov.
It was established that of the documented 580 founders, more than half either did not attend the meeting on August 2, 2014, or did not know that they were founding members. The leader of Vazrazhdane Kostadin Kostadinov is also under investigation for causing alarm among citizens during the coronavirus pandemic.
