Temenuzhka Petkova specified that the EU is allocating EUR 56 million to Bulgaria to decommission units 1, 2, 3 and 4 of Kozloduy NPP. Minister Petkova reminded that the last two cabinets headed by Premier Borissov have negotiated to extend the lifespan of units 5 and 6 of Kozloduy NPP by another 30 years “to ensure Bulgaria’s energy security for the decades to come”.
