Bulgaria's top boxer for the 20th century, Ivailo Marinov, has been bestowed with the highest state distinction for sports, The Winner's Wreath, by Bulgaria's Minister of Youth and Sports Krasen Kralev. Marinov received the high distinction on the occasion of his 60th anniversary.
Marinov is an Olympic champion from the Seoul Olympic Games in 1988, a bronze medalist from Moscow in 1980 and the first world champion in boxing for amateurs from Bulgaria, as he is also the winner of the title in the championship in Munich in 1892.
