252 Bulgarian scientists from different fields of science have signed the petition demanding the resignation of Bulgaria’s cabinet and this country’s Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev, early Parliamentary elections and machine voting. “Bulgaria is on a disastrous road. Institutions, science and culture are being destroyed”, the scientists contend. “We are against this government and against its attempts to present drafts of new Constitution patched in the last minute for the sole purpose of remaining in power, in order to complete tainted deals”, the initiator of the petition Professor Lachezar Avramov, former Chairman of the Institute of Electronics with the Bulgarian Academy of Science, said at a briefing, quoted by BNT.
