Deputy Speaker of Bulgaria’s National Assembly and leader of Volya party Veselin Mareshki has issued a statement in which he calls on President Rumen Radev to resign. “With his speech within the frameworks of the festivities on Shipka Peak President Radev insulted this symbol of Bulgarian heroism and patriotism”, the position of Mareshki reads. In his words, “Rumen Radev has discredited the Presidential institution, talking about politics and pursuing his own interest in a moment when Bulgaria bows to the self-sacrifice and the heroic deed of all participants at the Shipka Epopee”.  “If President Radev refuses to hand in his resignation, he should be removed from office through the procedure provided by the law-impeachment!”, Veselin Mareshki further says.
