Serious criticism was leveled at Bulgaria at a closed meeting of the monitoring group for the rule of law in the European Parliament, journalist Dimitar Stoyanov, who attended the forum, told BNR. According to Stoyanov, the criticism is of the ongoing judicial reform, the activity and the control over the activity of the Prosecutor General and because of the ambiguities about the future change in the Constitution.

On the Bulgarian side, Deputy Prime Minister for Judicial Reform and Foreign Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva, Deputy Chief Prosecutor Krassimira Filipova and Deputy Minister of Justice Desislava Ahladova took part. They declined to comment on the information, the BNR correspondent in Brussels said.
