Loans worth more than 4.6 billion euros under a moratorium amid Covid-19 crisis

More than 107,000 loans are subject to a temporary moratorium due to the economic consequences of Covid-19 at the end of July. This is clear from data of the Bulgarian National Bank, BNR reports.The total value of these loans is over nine billion levs /over 4.6 billion euros/ and in just one month has increased by nearly a billion levs /half a billion euros/.
More than BGN 2 billion (over EUR 1 billion) are the frozen loans of households, the remaining loans are of companies.
The rescheduling of liabilities became possible in April, and for this purpose an individual repayment plan is prepared after the expiration of the partial moratorium.
