Bulgaria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs has insisted that the Joint Bulgaria-North Macedonia Multidisciplinary Expert Commission on Educational and Historical Issues resumes activity as soon as possible. In a phone conversation with the newly-appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia Bujar Osmani, Minister Zaharieva insisted that the Good Neighbor Agreement signed between the two countries in Skopje 3 years ago be fully performed, BNR reporters inform.

The work of the commission was blocked by the dispute on Gotse Delchev and later by the early Parliamentary elections in North Macedonia. Ministers Zaharieva and Osmani have discussed the forthcoming summit within the frameworks of the joint Presidency of the Berlin Process for the Western Balkans in November in Sofia.
