Vidin marks European Heritage Days with craft festival

Baba Vida fortress in Vidin is to host Craft Days festival with the support of Vidin Municipality and the Regional Historical Museum. On September 19 and 20, craftsmen are to present their works in the inner yard of the ancient fortress. Lovers of handmade items can buy souvenirs made of natural materials and fruit of the forest jams prepared under old recipes. The festival lays the emphasis on traditional crafts such as cutlery, glass painting and glass engraving, handmade candles and wooden souvenirs.

Danube Ensemble for Folk Songs and Dances is to present traditional dances from the Vidin region. Fire-dancers are to perform in the moat of the fortress. Craft Days festival is held within the frameworks of the European Heritage Days.
