Metropolitan Bishop Gavrail of Lovech bestowed the Order of Merit on Prime Minister Boyko Borissov who paid a visit to the new main temple in Lovech, the Saints Cyril and Methodius.

Metropolitan Bishop Gavrail thanked the prime minister for the money allocated for the construction and renovation of the churches in the diocese and also for the fact that despite the pandemic, the churches in the country remained open, the Bulgarian news agency BTA reports.

In Lovech, PM Borissov was welcomed by a group of people enthusiastically shouting his name.

“I am not going to comment anything about Tsvetanov, let him take as many votes as he likes," Boyko Borissov said. "We have been together for 20 years, it is like marriage. I am not going to breathe a word against him.”

That was how PM Borissov commented on the new political project presented by Tsvetan Tsvetanov “Republicans for Bulgaria” which drew many people away from the ruling GERB party.
