Nature lovers clean beaches near Burgas

A large-scale action for cleaning the beach near Solnitsite, in the region of Burgas takes place today. The aim of the initiative under the motto "Let's Clean the Black Sea" is to help restore the ecological balance of Burgas beaches. Anyone wishing to join in the action can do so.

Organization of the event is work of the team also working on a project to reduce litter in the coastal areas of the Black Sea. It is part of the "Black Sea Basin 2014-2020" Operational Program, funded by the European Neighborhood Instrument and covering ten countries - Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, Turkey, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine.

Reduction of river and marine litter is one of the priorities of the program, in addition to promoting business and entrepreneurship in the field of tourism and culture and contributing to increasing cross-border opportunities for trade and modernization of agriculture.
