Amendments to the draft resolution on the rule of law in Bulgaria are expected to be voted on in the European Parliament tonight, the correspondent  of the BNR in Brussels, Angelina Piskova, has announced.

MEP Roberta Metsola from the European People's Party insists that the document should include information about the case of the Bulgarian president's advisers being accused of trading in influence, as well as the allegations that a prominent Bulgarian gambling boss with 18 charges raised against him has been funding the protests. The person in mind is Bulgarian businessman Vasil Bozhkov, who has been hiding in Dubai

Other amendments tabled by Bulgarian MEP Angel Dzhambazki from the European Conservatives and Reformists Group aim to drop texts regretting Bulgaria's rejection of the Istanbul Convention, as well as tests related to hate speech against minorities, which is used by many lawmakers, and their diplomatic immunity protects them from prosecution.
