North Macedonia’s Premier Zoran Zaev is moderately optimistic that his country may find a solution to the controversial issues with Bulgaria, BTA informs. The most important thing for Skopje at the moment is to protect its interests as much as possible meanwhile taking into account the interests of Sofia, Premier Zaev said. The first intergovernmental conference may not be held, but this is not in the interest of the two nations, Zoran Zaev admitted.

No new contract with Bulgaria has been signed. We only strengthened bilateral communication at many levels, North Macedonia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Bujar Osmani wrote on Facebook and added that his visit to Sofia was positive.
