Interest in influenza vaccines has increased this year, Nikolay Kostov, chairman of the Association of Pharmacy Owners, told the BNR.

There are about 70,000 vaccines in pharmaceutical storage facilities, most of which are for medical professionals in the country who are at the forefront of the epidemic. Because of the corporavirus crisis, there is a psychosis, which has made many more people than in previous years want vaccination, and the vaccines are at the level of 2019. For the first time, pharmacies are making lists for vaccines, Kostov said.
Separately, 180,000 flu vaccines will arrive at the offices of general practitioners at the end of the week. They are under a national program for the prevention of seasonal flu and are free for people aged 65 and over, according to the Ministry of Health.
