Bulgarian tour guides present video about Aladzha monastery

As October is quietly slipping by and the last of the warm days with it, this is the time to enjoy autumn with an unforgettable visit to the northern portion of the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. In a special video, with subtitles in English, the Association of Bulgarian Tour Guides, jointly with the Ministry of Tourism presents Aladzha monastery.

Aladzha monastery rises close to Varna on the Black Sea, and is one of the most popular local landmarks. Its frescoes are from the 13th – 14th century. After the Ottoman invasion of Bulgaria, at the end of the 14th century, Aladzha monastery gradually fell into ruin, and by the end of the 15th or the beginning of the 16th century was abandoned completely.
