56% of all Bulgarian nationals approve the construction of Belene nuclear power plant and 63% support the construction of Balkan Stream gas pipeline, the National Center for Parliamentary Research announced.

8% of all Bulgarian nationals think that the EU targets in the so-called European Green Deal are realistic and another 8% share the opposite opinion. One-third of the respondents assess them as partially feasible, but more than half of the respondents are undecided or are not acquainted with the European Green Deal. 36.7% of the respondents are confident that the EU Green Deal would lead to closure of Bulgarian thermal power plants and 36.4% of them expect that this would lead to improvement of air quality.  30% of the respondents answer that the thermal power plants should be closed for environmental reasons and 30% voiced the opposite opinion.
