Bulgarians mark feast of Saint Pimen Zografski, also Day of Bulgarian artists

On November 3, the Bulgarian Orthodox Church celebrates the memory of Saint Pimen Zografski. On this occasion, November 3 is celebrated as a day of Bulgarian artists, icon painters and restorers. 

The Venerable Pimen Zografski was born in Sofia and worked in the Zografski Monastery. He is known to have built and renovated about 300 churches and 15 monasteries and he decorated them with frescoes. 
At the end of his life he settled in the Cherepish Monastery, where he passed away on November 3, 1620.
