The United States is our strategic partner and we have a dialogue in the energy sphere. In five years we made a major step in diversifying gas supply sources, Bulgaria’s Minister of Energy Temenuzhka Petkova said for BNT.

I have explained to our American partners the main differences between Balkan Stream and other projects. It is entirely fulfilled by Bulgaria and is not influenced by any other country. It is important for Bulgaria to remain significant gas transit state in Europe and this is possible only if we have the necessary infrastructure. Balkan Stream is implemented entirely according to EU requirements, public procurement orders and regulatory framework. We have complied with all rules and regulations, Minister Petkova underlined.
