The protocols published in scientific journals are intended for qualified medical personnel. They take into account the individual condition of the patient and cannot be used for self-treatment, reads a statement of the Bulgarian Medical Association. Doctors call on Bulgarian citizens not to resort to the dangerous practice of self-treatment of Covid-19.
The BMA comes out with this statement as a reaction against an increasing number of posts on social networks and websites written by doctors or alleged medical professionals, containing various therapeutic regimens for home treatment of Covid-19.
"Self-medication is extremely dangerous! Some of the drugs that appear in publications can lead to over-accumulation in the body. Other recommended medications can cause sudden and sharp internal bleeding in the body", the statement of the doctors from the BMA reads.
