Zoran Zaev calls for removing "Iron Curtain" between North Macedonia and Bulgaria

"I am sorry that my interview for BGNES provoked negative emotions. But I want to urge the Macedonian public to help resolve the issue with Bulgaria", said North Macedonia's Prime Minister Zoran Zaev.

"We need to agree on historical issues and develop a capacity for understanding and forgiveness. The peoples of Europe have agreed not to forget, but to forgive each other in the name of the future. Historical conflicts have been left  behind for the sake of the future of the EU. This is my biggest wish and I will pursue it as long as I have a chance",  Zaev said.
According to Zaev, the consequences of the "Iron Curtain", which are still being felt between North Macedonia and Bulgaria, must be removed, BGNES reported.
