The monks in Bulgaria's biggest monastery, the Rila Holy Monastery, hope that many believers and tourists will visit the holy place and attend the church services for the Nativity of Christ

The police have already set up an organization to guard the area, and during the holidays they will control the traffic to the monastery. The road has been repaired, and the section near the landslides above the village of Pastra is safe.

So far, traffic to the Rila Monastery is not intense, but many more people are expected for Christmas Day and St. Stephen's Day (December 27).
