Schools for students from 1st to 4th grade, kindergartens and nurseries in Sofia will open on January 4, Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova announced. Children do not need a note from a GP to return to school or kindergarten. Parents must only fill in declarations that their child has not been in contact with infected people.
During an inspection in a Sofia kindergarten, Mayor Fandakova was asked if she approved the proposal of Bulgaria’s Minister of Tourism Mariana Nikolova to extend the working hours of restaurants in hotels until 00:30 am on New Year's Eve. "We have to be very careful and strict. The pressure on hospitals in Sofia has decreased significantly, but we should not be relieved from this fact", Fandakova pointed out, quoted by BGNES.
