Due to significant rainfall across the country, Economy Minister Lachezar Borisov has ordered the establishment of a crisis headquarters to monitor the condition and levels of the water reservoirs and dams. Together with the responsible state services and institutions, patrol teams have been formed to monitor and submit the necessary information to the headquarters. All preventive measures have been taken and, where necessary, controlled release of water from the dams is being carried out, BTA reported.

A state of emergency has been declared in the municipality of Trun due to rivers overflowing their banks. A partial state of emergency has been declared in Pernik, the mayor of the town Stanislav Vladimirov told the BNR.
