Bulgaria reports 966 new cases of Covid-19 out of 11,164 tests performed

966 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 11,164 tests performed, indicate data of the Single Coronavirus Information Portal. Nearly 9% of the tests have returned positive result. The highest number of coronavirus infections was reported in Sofia-233, followed by Burgas-85 and Plovdiv-76.

522 people have recovered and 33 patients have died in the past 24 hours. 3,317 patients are being treated in hospital, including 304 in intensive care wards. 26 medics have been diagnosed with Covid-19 in the past 24 hours. 9,818 medics have tested positive for the novel coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic. More than 3,500 people have been inoculated against Covid-19 in the past 24 hours. The total number of vaccinations has reached 74,696. 20,571 Bulgarians have already received their second dose of Covid-19 vaccine.
