Prof. Jenny Zaharieva bestowed Honorary Sign of the President

Renowned Bulgarian pianist Prof. Jenny Zaharieva is to be awarded the Honorary Sign of the President of Bulgaria, the presidential press service has announced. President Rumen Radev is to confer the award at a ceremony in the Presidency’s Coat of Arms Hall today. 

Prof. Jenny Zaharieva is a pianist well known for her numerous concerts in Europe, America, the Far East and Africa and the music she has recorded, as well as for her work as a pedagogue. Hers was the idea for the restoration of Clara Schumann’s pianoforte at Schloss Branitz (Germany), she is also the first pianist to have given a concert and recorded a CD on this instrument. Prof. Zaharieva is holder of numerous awards in Bulgaria and around the world.
