National Revenue Agency checks businesses for dubious practices

Photo: BGNES

The National Revenue Agency of Bulgaria is already using a special software and a supercomputer to find out whether there is a hidden connection between different businesses. The software tries to find out whether companies have common accountants, lawyers, suppliers and office addresses. It also monitors whether companies trade in expensive goods and commodities, make dubious expenses, frequently open and close bank accounts, have unusual turnover, etc., informs 24 Chasa daily.

The subcontractors of the monitored companies are also subject to inspections. The inspections are discreet and audits are sometimes made online, because we are trying not to disturb the businesses, announced the National Revenue Agency.
