Brazilian movie The Pink Cloud is winner at the Sofia International Film Festival

The grand prize of the 25th edition of the Sofia International Film Festival goes to "The Pink Cloud" by Brazilian director Iuli Gerbase, BNT has reported. The film tells the story of a pink toxic cloud that forces people to stay locked in their homes. Curiously, the story was written 2 years before the coronavirus pandemic.

The Bulgarian movie "German Lessons" by Pavel Vesnakov received the special award of the international jury of the festival and positive reviews from international critics.

The movie about the Srebrenica genocide "Quo Vadis, Aida?" by Bosnian director Jasmila Zbanic is a winner in the Balkan Cinema section and has been nominated for an Oscar for international film.
