A 5-6% rise in housing prices in large Bulgarian cities has been observed. The market has been developing extremely well. This was what Dobromir Ganev, President of the board at National Real Estate Association has told BNR.

According to him, demand at the moment is focused on larger properties or ones that offer flexible spaces, larger open areas such as terraces, balconies, loggias, including ground floors with green spaces. There is also demand for houses and plots near the big cities.

The expert says the demand for this type of property was dictated by the pandemic. In the new conditions, the rental market in big cities has been the most affected, as well as that of the office areas.
