Authorities check for illegal voting

According to law, the Department Civil Registration and Administrative Services at the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works will check all voters in the country and abroad to determine whether there are people present on more than one list and ones who voted in two places, as well as whether voter are over 18 years of age and whether they are Bulgarian citizens. The signatures will be checked and persons who are on the electoral roll at their current address but have voted on a permanent address basis, will be identified.

No later than April 8, the central and regional election commissions must submit the voter lists, declarations, certificates, as well as the lists for additional registration from voting in the country and abroad to the Department Civil Registration and Administrative Services.
