From April 10 to 12, the Aviation Museum in Krumovo, located near Plovdiv Airport, will mark April 12 designated as the International Day of Aviation and Cosmonautics and also as the International Day of Human Space Flight, 42 years since the space flight of the first Bulgarian cosmonaut Georgi Ivanov and 60 years since the first successful space flight.

On this occasion, visitors to the Museum will be able to see the photo exhibition "When the porthole was the horizon." It presents some of the photos taken by Georgi Ivanov during the flight of the Soyuz-33 spacecraft, donated by him to the Museum.

A special presentation "Yuri Gagarin in Bulgaria" has been prepared for history buffs, which tells about the visit to Bulgaria of the first man who flew in space onboard the spacecraft "Vostok 1". Archival photos from the Museum's collection are on display, which have captured on camera the euphoria during Gagarin's visit to Sofia, Plovdiv, Kazanlak, Pleven, Varna.
