The first of its kind education campaign named “Forest and Climate Change” will be held on the territory of the Southwest State Forest Enterprise with the participation of experts in forest pedagogy. Forest experts are to acquaint children with climate change, the work of the foresters, as well as with different animal and forest species.

The campaign is a joint initiative of Gorichka Association, the famous Bulgarian tennis player Magdalena Maleeva and the Union of Bulgarian Foresters. A mobile pavilion is equipped with dozens of kids games, education materials and tools for tree planting. 1st to 4th grade pupils are to acquire new knowledge via field training. More than 1,000 children from over 50 schools are expected to join the cause and the efforts of the Bulgarian foresters to protect forests and adapt them to climate change.
