Giant Easter egg brings festive mood to the residents of Dimitrovgrad

Photo: Dimitrovgrad Municipality

The giant glowing Easter egg is located at the roundabout in front of the entrance of “Penyo Penev” park in Dimitrovgrad. It impresses with its incredible size. The giant egg was made by a local company, in partnership with a team from the Dimitrovgard Social Enterprise, Dimitrovgrad Municipality. 2,200 lamps, metal rings and more than 150 linear meters of iron were used for the manufacture of the glowing Easter egg. It weighs 70 kilograms and glows red.

The Municipality of Dimitrovgrad has traditions in making unusual holiday decorations. Years ago, a large bench, a giant table, a big lamp, as well as a giant metal heart were installed at the entrance of another park in the town on occasion of the Day of Dimitrovgrad. Visitors like to take selfies and photos near the giant objects.
