North Macedonia Foreign Minister in anticipation of meeting his Bulgarian counterpart

Bujar Osmani, Foreign Minister of North Macedonia has sent a letter congratulating Bulgaria’s new Foreign Minister Svetlan Stoev and stating he is awaiting a meeting with him to discuss opening up the way to EU membership negotiations.

Bujar Osmani states that convening an inter-governmental conference and adopting a plan of action for resolving the dispute with Sofia are important steps for the implementation of the Good Neighbour Agreement. He emphasizes that Skopje should mobilize its full capacity so that the way for negotiations in June can be opened, and adds he believes that the caretaker government of Bulgaria could make such a decision, BGNES reports.
