Bulgarian PM: Politics should be made by politicians, not by historians

The solution to the issue between Bulgaria and North Macedonia is in the hands of politicians. Historians should not be conductors in politics, because politics is the responsibility of governments, Bulgarian Prime Minister Stefan Yanev said in an interview with the Macedonian News Agency.
The implementation of the Good Neighbourliness Agreement is slow, and the joint Bulgarian-Macedonian commission on historical and educational issues has made no progress in its work.
"Do we have to wait another five years for this commission to achieve something? In my opinion, this is not realistic," Yanev stressed and called on the two governments to sit down and talk pragmatically, BGNES reported.
