The Varna Summer International Theatre Festival, which was held in the autumn last year and was transformed into an online format because of the pandemic, is now back live. Its 29th edition of Varna Summer opens today and will run until July 12.

The international selection of the festival starts with the attractive vertical wall dance "Flight" of the Dutch company AIRA on the facade of the Festival and Congress Centre in Varna. It will mark the 20-year-long cooperation between Varna and Dordrecht. It is carried out jointly with the Embassy of the Netherlands.

The festival will bring to its audience 15 selected performances and special events from Bulgaria, Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom, BNR Varna reports.
