Bulgaria takes over the chairmanship of the Southeastern Europe Defence Ministerial Process

From July 1, 2021, Bulgaria will take over the rotating chairmanship of the Southeastern Europe Defence Ministerial Process (SEDM Process). The process was initiated in 1996 as a mechanism to increase regional security and support the efforts of participating countries to integrate into Euro-Atlantic structures.

The handover and acceptance ceremony of the presidency will take place on August 27, 2021 in the town of Kumanovo, North Macedonia, where the Headquarters of the Multinational Brigade - Southeast Europe is located.
