The state secretary at Slovenia’s Ministry of Infrastructure Blaž Košorok stated that the Slovenian Presidency of the Council of the EU will demonstrate restraint regarding the provision from the Mobility Package on the return of trucks to the country of registration every 4 weeks.

He made this comment in answer to a question by the BNR on the effect this regulation will have on the green objectives which are a priority for Slovenia’s Presidency.

Bulgaria and other EU countries filed a lawsuit at the EU Court of Justice over this rule, and the European Commission is looking into the effect of the measure on the Green Pact. Blaž Košorok added that the previous Presidencies also showed restraint regarding this rule, BNR’s special correspondent in Brussels Anguelina Piskova reports.
