The EC has adjusted its expectations for growth of the Bulgarian economy

The European Commission has revised its expectations for economic growth in Bulgaria this year. Brussels' summer economic forecast, published on Wednesday, there are expectations for economic growth of 4.6% in 2021 and 4.1% next year. In its spring forecast, the Commission forecast a 3.5% growth in the Bulgarian economy.
According to the analysis, despite the continuing restrictions on economic activity due to the pandemic, in the first quarter Bulgaria's real GDP grew by 2.5%, mainly due to personal consumption.
