"The Bulgaria-Greece joint infrastructure projects are in the spirit of the Three Seas Initiative which aims to increase cooperation in the region, said Bulgaria’s President Rumen Radev at a meeting with his Greek counterpart Katerina Sakelaropoulou in Sofia held within the frameworks of the Three Seas Initiative.

"Greece is a guest of this year‘s summit of the Three Seas Initiative. Its participation will contribute to the common vision for greater connectivity in the region", noted Bulgaria’s head of state Radev.

Presidents Radev and Sakelaropoulou discussed the development of transport infrastructure and the improvement of energy connectivity. It also became clear that the opening of new border checkpoints, aimed at promoting links between business and tourism, are among the priorities for Bulgaria and Greece.
