Weather forecast for Bulgaria for Thursday, 15 July, 2021

Yellow weather warning for high temperatures across the country on Thursday

On Thursday the weather will be hot with maximum temperatures reaching 33° - 38°C, for Sofia 33° C. In the afternoon and evening cumulous rain clouds will gather in the Westernmost regions of the country and there will be isolated showers and thunder, as well as hail.

Over the Black Sea coastline the weather will be sunny. Maximum temperatures 28-31° C., it will be hottest in Varna and Burgas at 31° C. Seawater temperature around 25°C, sea state – 2.

Over the mountains the weather will be predominantly sunny, with cumulous rain clouds gathering in the afternoon over the mountains in Western Bulgaria, where there will be occasional showers and thunder. Maximum temperatures at 1,200 m. above sea level - around 28° C., at 2,000 metres – around 22° C. In Smolyan, Bansko and Dobrinishte temperatures will reach 32° C., in Borovets and Pamporovo - 27° C.

Until the end of the week the weather over most of the country will continue sunny and hot, with maximum temperatures reaching 35° C. and over, lower along the Black Sea coastline.
