Muslims in Bulgaria prepare for Kurban Bayrami

Muslims in Bulgaria celebrate Arife day, which is the preparation for tomorrow's Kurban Bayrami (Eid al-Adha). Kardzhali District Mufti Basri Eminefendi has called on believers to help the poor on the holiday.

"Let those of us who have the opportunity, to give to those who do not have much and make Eid al-Adha a holiday for all those in need, regardless of their religion," Basri Eminefendi said. The mayor of Ardino municipality Izet Shaban gave traditional Turkish baklava to his fellow citizens and wished the holidays to unite people and make them better persons, BNR Kardzhali reported.
