Sport shooter Antoaneta Kostadinova won the first medal for Bulgaria at the Tokyo Olympics grabbing the silver in the women’s 10 meter air pistol event. This is the first medal for Kostadinova during her third participation in Olympic Games.
The other Bulgarian competitor in the event – two-times Olympic champion Maria Grozdeva – failed to qualify for the finals. After the event Grozdeva officially confirmed that the Games in Tokyo will be the last competition in her career.
