Covid-19 Delta variant now dominant in Bulgaria

52 cases of the Delta variant of SARS-CoV-2, also known as the Indian variant, have been identified by the National Centre of Infectious and Parasitic Diseases out of 54 clinical samples analyzed, meaning that 96.3% of the samples are of the Delta variant, the Ministry of Health has announced.

The clinical samples were taken from patients with Covid-19 in the period from 6 to 20 July, 2021, sent by 29 different medical establishments in 11 regions of the country.
