The Bulgarian rhythmic gymnastics team have brought a golden end to Bulgaria's participation in the Tokyo Olympics. With their magnificent performance, Simona Dyankova, Stefani Kiryakova, Madeleine Radukanova, Laura Traats and Erika Zafirova, won the gold medals and had the honor to listen to the Bulgarian national anthem in the Japanese capital city.

Just like during yesterday’s qualifiers, the Bulgarian girls left the competitors behind and with a total score of 92,100 points from both combinations won the most valuable award that Bulgaria previously missed in this sport.

Bulgaria leaves Tokyo with a total of six Olympic medals. In addition to the success of the rhythmic gymnastics ensemble, Stoyka Krasteva (boxing) and Ivet Goranova (karate) also won gold for Bulgaria. Antoaneta Kostadinova won silver in 10 m pistol shooting, while Taybe Yusein and Evelina Nikolova grabbed bronze medals in wrestling.
