Partial state of emergency declared in Laki Municipality because of the fire in the Rhodopes

The fire which broke out in the Rhodope Mountains is approaching the village of Yugovo, the Municipality of Laki. Currently, it is 2 kilometers away from the village. A partial state of emergency has been declared in the municipality, BNR Plovdiv reported. For now, however, there is no need to evacuate people.

A Cougar military helicopter, about 50 soldiers, as well as firefighters, foresters and volunteers have been fighting the natural calamity for the sixth consecutive day.
