Second rail incident in two days

Photo: BGNES

One more train incident occurred this morning, when a man jumped in front of the locomotive of the Sofia-Burgas train, with more than 100 passengers on board. The condition of the man is, as yet, unclear.

This is the second train incident after yesterday’s accident near Karnobat, again on the Burgas-Sofia line, when a lorry entered the level crossing despite the sound signal by the locomotive. The train was full of passengers who only escaped injury from broken glass from the train windows by a miracle; one woman suffered lacerations of the hand. The lorry driver has been detained.
